About Me

Background

I studied Computer Science & Engineering and played Division III Volleyball at MIT, where I was demanding a lot of both my mind and body. When I started learning about nutrition, I was focused on eating to get stronger and optimize my athletic performance. However, along the way I learned that what I eat and how I exercise affects not only how I look and move but also how my brain performs. This was eye opening because being fit is just as important to me as performing well in school and in my career. MIT's motto, Mens et Manus or Mind and Hand, became a personal symbol of how I approached my health: bridging the connections between the wellbeing of mind and hand (brain and body).

Years ago, when I started my journey to discover what it means to “be healthy,” I didn't really know how to go about it. I took a very winding path and made a lot of avoidable mistakes to get to where I am today. Now, I’m combining my Health Coach training with my Computer Science background to create a more intentional, iterative, and strategic approach to help you find the right balance and ways of eating that will help you reach your personal and professional goals.

We all want to live our best lives, and that starts with having healthy minds and bodies. Health coaching will help you build that foundation.

Training

I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where I learned innovative coaching methods, practical lifestyle management techniques, and over 100 dietary theories – Paleo, vegan, gluten-free, raw, macrobiotics, and everything in between.

My training has equipped me with knowledge in health coaching, prevention, and holistic nutrition. I will help you make lifestyle changes and develop health-promoting habits that produce lasting results. You will develop a deeper understanding of food and lifestyle choices that work best for you, improving your energy, balance, health, and happiness.

We will talk about and bring balance to elements of your life beyond food, including love, relationships, career, and finances. I will guide you to make simple, small changes that will transform your overall wellbeing.
